An antique French Impressionist landscape, oil on board, showing a river or lakeside scene at golden hour — tall poplar and cypress trees above flowering banks, a stretch of sunlit water, and a cloud-filled sky. Painted with textured impasto brushwork in a warm palette of ochres, greens and blues. The reverse has the pencilled title "Paysage" (French for "landscape"), a preparatory sketch, and old inventory notations. The front carries an artist's signature, partially illegible. Unframed.
