This antique French wall or table top shelf features beautifully hand-carved detailing with stylized foliage and architectural motifs. Crafted from dark-stained wood, it was likely made in the late 19th or early 20th century, intended for displaying a small clock, statue, or devotional object. Top shelf has been removed in past to make room for taller objects - as there is no sign of forced breakage.
