Small Glazed Terracotta Pitcher — Italian, 19th Century

An antique Italian glazed terracotta pitcher with a single strap handle, a pinched pouring lip, and a rounded body tapering to a narrow foot. Finished in a mottled chestnut-brown glaze with darker fire-clouding across the body from the kiln. Wheel-thrown in buff clay. A characterful rustic vessel that works on a shelf, grouped with other pottery, or holding dried stems.
