Double Finch Bird Cage

This antique French finch trap is a striking example of traditional rural ingenuity, constructed from painted wood with fine metal bars and a tiered, compartmentalized form. Used historically to capture small birds such as finches. The original green paint, now softly worn, gives the piece a sculptural and highly decorative presence, ideal as an object of curiosity or statement display.

The two side traps open from above, the center area has a swing-out door with a wire closure, it includes a top wire carrying handle for easy hanging or transport.
